The May Birds are an all female Progressive Indie Pop quartet based in London. With their roots in folk and soul, they have been playing with an ever-growing array of instruments, antique and electronic, that have shaped their sound: intimate, powerful, desirous songs that migrate from intricate, lulling meditation to raw, gutsy abandon. With a wonderful list of upcoming gigs such as Shambala, Green Man, Union Chapel, Strawberry Fields to name a few, and the likes of Chris Hawkins, Shaun Keaveny, Annie Nightingale and John Kennedy all championing them, good times are ahead.
